Kim Colpitts Head Coach

Bio

Kim Colpitts joined the Tommies in April 2024. In her first ACAA season (2024-25), she guided STU to a 12-8 regular-season record, closing out the campaign on a nine-game win streak and securing a berth in the conference championship. In her debut season with the Tommies, Colpitts was named ACAA Coach of the Year.

Prior to joining STU, Colpitts spent eight seasons as an assistant coach in the U SPORTS AUS league. In addition to her AUS experience, she has coached at the club, middle school, and high school levels, as well as with Team New Brunswick. As a head coach, she led numerous club teams to Volleyball New Brunswick (VNB) provincial championships and competed at Volleyball Canada (VC) national championships. Her Team NB coaching experience includes serving as head coach at the 15U and 16U levels, and as an assistant coach for the 2021 Canada Games squad. In recognition of her dedication to athlete development, she was named VNB Coach of the Year in 2015.

From 2022 to 2025, Colpitts served as VNB High Performance Chair – Female, playing a key role in advancing high-performance programming across the province. She currently serves as a Coach Evaluator with Volleyball Canada.

As an athlete, Colpitts competed for Mount Allison University, the University of New Brunswick, and Mount Saint Vincent University. She appeared in both a U SPORTS national championship with UNB and a CCAA national championship with MSVU.
