Setter with Spark: Keelyn Osborne Joins Tommies Women’s Volleyball
The St. Thomas University Tommies are thrilled to welcome setter Keelyn Osborne as the newest member of the women’s volleyball recruit class for the 2026–2027 season.
Hailing from Airdrie, Alberta, Osborne is known for her positive energy and relentless effort, qualities that are expected to make her an immediate and impactful addition to the Tommies’ roster.
Osborne’s commitment to STU was strongly influenced by academics, as she is passionate about psychology and looks forward to continuing her studies at St. Thomas University. When asked about the volleyball program, Osborne shared, "It's a big family that works hard and respects each other."
Following her commitment, Osborne travelled to Fredericton, an experience that further solidified her decision. "It very much reaffirmed my decision watching them play in person. The dedication to the team as a whole in any role is what stood out first, secondly the tenacity the team demonstrated no matter the score, always giving their all and staying focused on the points ahead."
Osborne also noted that the coaching staff played a significant role in her decision, citing head coach Kim as a major influence. "Honesty and respect are the first two words that come to my mind when I think of Coach Kim.” Said Osborne. “She is honest about her goals for the team and what your role as an athlete is. I really enjoyed how she ran practices and her supportive coaching style during games. I’m excited to have the opportunity to be coached by Kim and the staff, I know I’m going to grow as an athlete and even more as a person."
Coach Colpitts expressed her excitement for the Keelyns commitment stating, "Keelyn is a hard working athlete committed to development and a real team player. She brings elite level experience from playing on one of the top clubs in Alberta. On and off the court Keelyn will contribute to our program and we’re excited to welcome her in September."
The Tommies are excited to add Osborne’s effort, character, and positive energy to the program and look forward to welcoming her to campus this fall.
