Fredericton, NB - STU Tommies defended home court with a hard-fought 3-1 victory over the Holland Hurricanes at the LB Gym.
STU came out strong in the opening set, executing well on both sides of the ball to secure a 25-19 win. Holland responded in the second, adjusting their attack and leveling the match with a 25-21 set victory.
The Tommies regained control in the third, edging out the Hurricanes 25-22 in a back-and-forth battle. The fourth set proved to be the most intense of the match, with both teams exchanging momentum. In the end, STU capitalized on key plays down the stretch to close out the match with a 26-24 win.
Kathleen Boyle led the way for the Tommies with a standout performance, earning Player of the Game honors.
With the victory, the Tommies continue their push in the standings as they look ahead to their next matchup.
