The St. Thomas Tommies were bested 3-2 by the Holland College Hurricanes in ACAA women's volleyball action Sunday evening at the Lady Beaverbrook Gym.
Set scores were 27-25, 20-25, 25-19, 25-21, and 11-15.
Brittany States sparked the Hurricanes with 22 kills and 11 digs, while Megan Leblanc chipped in with 15 kills and 22 digs.
The Tommies, who were without fifth-year starter Deidra Jones, were led by Claire Richard's 14 kills and 21 digs. Megan Mills added 10 kills and 13 digs in a losing cause.
The Tommies are back in action next weekend at the ACAA Volleyball Championships where they will face the UKC Blue Devils in the quarterfinals.
