Mariah Brown Joins STU Women's Rugby
Fredericton, NB — St. Thomas University Women’s Rugby is proud to announce the addition of Mariah Brown to its 2025 recruiting class. A scrum half from Fredericton, New Brunswick, Brown brings with her a reputation for dedication, respect, and a relentlessly positive attitude.
A product of the Leo Hayes High School rugby program, Brown has been a standout on the local scene, and her commitment to excellence, both on and off the field, makes her a strong addition to the Tommies roster.
“I heard so many great things about STU—the academics, the community—and once I met the team, I knew this was where I wanted to be,” Brown said. “The rugby culture here is incredibly welcoming and competitive. I’m excited to help the program reach its goals.”
Brown plans to pursue studies in Criminal Justice and Criminology at St. Thomas. Her academic focus, combined with her athletic drive, reflects the type of student-athlete the Tommies continue to build their program around.
“Mariah brings energy, leadership, and a strong rugby IQ. We’re thrilled to have her join our program.”
Brown is looking forward to stepping into the next chapter of her career next fall.
“I believe the coach’s strategies align with my aspirations,” she said. “I can’t wait to get started."
