Tommies Women's Hockey Adds Defender Lily LeBlanc
Fredericton, NB – St. Thomas University is thrilled to announce the addition of Lily LeBlanc to the Tommies women's hockey team. Hailing from New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, Lily brings her exceptional defensive prowess and impressive track record from her previous club, the Northern Subway Selects U18AAA.
Lily expressed her excitement about joining the Tommies, highlighting the key qualities she will bring to the team: "I have a positive attitude with a defense-first mentality and a strong work ethic. STU is a great school and hockey program, offering me the opportunity to continue playing hockey at a high level."
In addition to her on-ice skills, Lily is also a dedicated student. She plans to pursue either sociology or psychology at STU, with aspirations of a future in the medical field. Her commitment to excellence extends beyond hockey; she is also a competitive soccer and volleyball player.
Lily is looking forward to the new challenges and opportunities at St. Thomas University. "I'm excited to meet and play with my new teammates and to learn from Coach Murphy," she said.
Her impressive hockey resume includes national championship experience as a three-time Atlantic champion and three-time Esso Cup representative, bringing valuable experience and a winning mindset to the Tommies.

Lily LeBlanc joins previously announced Aimee O'Neill (Glace Bay, NS), Katelin Moffatt (Winnipeg, MB) Tayler Cohen (Richmond, BC), Alexie Palchinski (Cudworth, SK), Tristyn Endicott (Kerrobert, SK) and Megan Kirkpatrick (Strathmore, AB) as part of the 2024–25 recruiting class.
