Coach Mallet Adds Brayden Lee to 2026–27 Recruiting Class
(FREDERICTON, NB) – The STU Tommies Men’s Volleyball program is pleased to announce the commitment of Brayden Lee of Berwick, Nova Scotia, to the 2026–27 recruiting class.
Lee, a 6’3” outside hitter with the Valley Venom, brings a strong foundation in serve receive and ball control. Known for his consistency and his ability to stabilize the backcourt, Lee has developed into a reliable presence and keep his team in system.
Beyond his technical abilities, Lee is recognized for the energy and positivity he brings to the court. He competes with enthusiasm and takes pride in creating an environment where teammates can thrive, qualities that align closely with the culture of the Tommies program.
“Brayden is the type of player every team needs,” said STU Head Coach Henri Mallet. “He’s steady, he competes, and he genuinely enjoys being in the gym. His ability to pass and control the ball will give him an opportunity to make an impact early, and just as importantly, he’s someone who elevates the people around him every day.”
Lee will enroll in the Criminology program at St. Thomas University, a key factor in his decision to join the Tommies. With a strong academic focus and a clear vision for his future, he saw STU as the right fit both in the classroom and on the court.
“My goal is to come in, work hard, and show what I can bring to the team,” said Lee. “I want to keep improving every day and help the program compete for a national championship.”
Lee’s commitment reflects his drive to continue developing as a player while contributing to a competitive and connected team environment. As he transitions to the university level, the Tommies are excited about the balance of skill, attitude, and work ethic he brings to the program.
The STU Tommies look forward to welcoming Brayden to Fredericton this fall.
