Tommies Celebrate an Incredible 2025-26 Season at Annual Athletics Banquet
Fredericton, NB – The 2025-2026 season came to an unforgettable close at the St. Thomas University Tommies Annual Athletics Banquet, held yesterday at the Fredericton Inn. The event celebrated our student-athletes, their incredible achievements on the court and field, and their impact in the community.
This year, our teams accomplished so much: hosting a successful ACAA Volleyball Championship at the LB Gym, winning three ACAA banners, and sending four teams to national championships.
Our athletes also dominated awards season with 20 ACAA first- and second-team all-stars, three AUS all-stars, three coach of the year awards, a Rod Shovellor award, three ACAA rookies of the year, two ACAA Women’s Players of the Year, and one AUS Women’s MVP. At the national level, we celebrated four CCAA All-Canadians, one AUS first-team All-Canadian, and our second-ever CCAA Player of the Year.
Off the court, Tommies student-athletes led amazing initiatives through the Student-Athlete Council, including the Tommies Food Drive, Think Pink campaigns in partnership with the Chalmers Foundation, a new collaboration with Big Brothers Big Sisters of Fredericton & Oromocto and more.
